Shagala Organic Permaculture Farm

Shagala organic farming project deals with organic seeds and every thing is organic

So here in our community Shagala community area we are carrying out organic permaculture farming,we train and teach people together with our community children how to make their own permaculture garden at their homes to ensure no food insecurity in their homes and also to eradicate the level of poverty in our community areas

We use a variety of methods within the project, this includes:

- composting

- Green Composting

- dry grass mulching

- natural liquid fertilisers (water, green manure, cow dung, and compost)

- responsible irrigation created out of recycled materials (including plastic bottles)

- raised bed designs

- natural liquid pesticides

- organic seeds

- responsible plant designs allow for natural pest deterrents

- channel irrigation for responsible water consumption

- rain water collection

- crop rotation to ensure optimum soil health

- Cross pollination

All farming is done manually with traditional tools.
