ortoloco - Hofkooperative im Fondli

[ge] Ortoloco ist eine Landwirschaftskooperative im Raum Zürich und als selbstverwaltete Genossenschaft organisiert. Gemeinschaftlich betreiben wir den Fondlihof, einen mittleren Bauernhof in Dietikon. Auf dem Fondlihof erzeugen wir einen schönen und vielfältigen Teil unserer Lebensmittel: Gemüse, Obst, Süssmost, Getreide, Rindfleisch, Speisesoja, Sonnenblumenöl, Eier, Teekräuter. Der ökologische Anbau wird ergänzt mit Hecken, extensiv genutzten Wiesen und Weiden, Obstgarten und Wald.

[en] ortoloco is a country cooperative in the Zurich area and is organized as a self-governing cooperative. Together we operate the Fondlihof, a central farm in Dietikon. At the Fondlihof we produce a beautiful and varied part of our food: vegetables, fruit, sweets, cereals, beef, eat soja, sunflower oil, eggs, tea herbs. The organic cultivation is supplemented with hedges, extensively used meadows and pastures, orchard and forest.

ortoloco was founded in 2009 as a vegetable cooperative and will take over the entire farm from 2021. We operate according to the principles of solidarity . This means that consumers join forces and employ responsibility for the company. Agriculture is integrated into cycles, adapts to the weather and the seasons, requires careful care of soils, plants and animals. These natural conditions often contradict the conditions that the market places on production. We are testing another form of business, based on community and cooperation rather than increasing profit and efficiency.
