I'm from Rwanda but now living in Uganda. I have always had a passion for organic gardening, which I practice in my parents' garden. This passion allows me to work closely with nature, growing a variety of crops without relying on synthetic chemicals. Some of the plants I cultivate include wild green beans, okra, potatoes, onions, lemongrass, and amaranth varieties such as Golden Giant and Amaranthus retroflexus, all of which thrive in the rich, healthy soil that I focus on nurturing.
In my gardening practice, I embrace agroecological principles by fostering biodiversity and maintaining sustainable cultivation methods. My approach not only helps create a harmonious environment for plants but also ensures that the crops I grow are full of nutrition and flavor. By choosing indigenous and resilient species, I aim to contribute to food security while promoting ecological balance in the garden and beyond.
